Job Order Number:
Enter the Job Order Number in the Job Order Number box and you can view the description and requirements.
You may elect to have your Employ
Florida resume available to employers online. You may have up to ten resumes online which may be
viewed by different employers, depending on the key words you use to describe/title your resume.
No- they see only the information you provide on the resume.
It is possible
to keep your position in the system indefinitely, but not recommended.
(NOTE: The system will hold a job indefinitely, but looking at directions
in EFM it doesn’t address timelines. Personally I would not recommend
based on the urgency to fill the position.)
Services provided
through Career Central include candidate recruitment as well as pre-screening.
Background checks are not provided.
Career Central is
an enterprise sponsored by the Pasco Hernando Workforce
Board, Inc. Career Central serves as the area's One-Stop venue for meeting both
employer and employee needs.
The job seeker does not see
“exactly what I can see”. Information seen by the job seeker is dependent on how the
job order is entered. The following topics are typically visible to job seekers:
Job Information, Employer Information, Job Requirements, Compensation & Hours, Work
Site Information, Job Description and Special Skills. There are different variables
available when entering a job order which can be reviewed with a Business Services Consultant.
The process to enter
job order details at www.employflorida.com includes a quality assurance (QA) step.
Once a job order is entered and/or changed it is placed on an invisible “hold” until
the QA step can be performed, usually within 24 hours.
Acting similar to a recruitment company,
Customer Service Representatives service employers by matching candidates to the job requirements set up by
the employer through prescreening. Candidate background is compared to the requirements of the employer to
ensure qualification prior to the referral process. This service is provided to employers wishing the
extra service. Many employers elect to accept on line applications, perform their own candidate searches
and accept referrals on line.
Once candidates are prescreened
the referral information is sent directly to the employer by either a Customer Service Representative
or the candidate. It is then the employer who schedules candidates for interviews.
Career Central does not prepare resumes,
but Resume Workshops are available at each Career Central location. Ask a Customer Service Representative
for complete details about the workshops as well as critiquing resumes
